10/07/2012 FastFlow v2.0.0 lock-free programming framework is now available. Many new features. Among the many new features: transparent support for clusters of SMPs. The tarball is not ready yet, it can be downloaded from sourceforge SVN.

23/12/2011 We got a new project. IMPACT: Innovative Methods for Particle Colliders at the Terascale (Compagnia di San Paolo, 3 partners, 220K Euro), together with Physics department of University of Torino (also working with CERN). Acceptance rate 11%. Kickoff date: 1 Feb 2012, 36 months. We will mostly deal with parallel, high-performance simulation tools related to QCD background modeling (e.g. for Higgs boson detection).
30/05/2011 I'm the winner of the HPC Advisory Council Academic Award for a FastFlow related project. To be announced at International Supercomputing 2011.
24/05/2011 We got a new large project: ParaPhrase: Parallel Patterns for Adaptive Heterogeneous Multicore Systems (EC-STREP/FWP7, 9 parterns, 3.5M Euro). I am responsible for University of Torino unit and leader of WP5 (Compilation and Platform-specific Deployment).
25/04/2011 FastFlow v1.1.0 lock-free programming framework is now available. Many new features (see changelog). Now working on Linux, Mac OS X, Windows XP and 7.
01/09/2010 FastFlow v1.0.0. (first stable release) is now available.

01/09/2009 Our GridCOMP STREP project has been ranked as “project of the month” by the European Commission in September 2009 and produced 4 ETSI standards (DTS/GRID-0004-1/2/3/4).The full software package supporting the development of distributed and multi-core applications based on autonomic components and behavioral skeletons is available in the Current software development projects section under GPL license.
